Where is Copal Retreat located?Copal Retreat is located about one hour south of Cancun International Airport, nestled along the coast between two iconic destinations—just 15 minutes south of Playa del Carmen and 20 minutes north of Tulum.

What's included in the price?Inclusions for the retreat with Copal Retreat will vary from retreat type and country. The program and package is curated to make sure you are taken care of from the moment you land until you are back home. This means we take care of accommodations, activities, meals and transfers (only on the arrival and departure days of your retreat and only within the time slots provided at the time of your reservation). Your itinary is crafted to ensure a stress free vacation where cleanliness and safety are never compromised.

Can I come alone?Absolutely! Come alone or bring a friend. Most of our guests book solo and are excited to meet new amigos from all over the world. It's a great place to meet like minded people.

What is the difference between the room options?Copal Retreat offers three types of beautiful suites: oceanfront rooftop suites, beach/poolfront suites, and courtyard suites. All rooms are just steps away from the ocean, pool, common areas, or our rooftop studio space. Each suite includes a private bathroom and is available in either a double occupancy setup (two double beds) or a private option with one king-size bed. Regardless of the room type, all suites are thoughtfully designed and fully equipped with the amenities you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Is transportation provided to and from the airport?For our retreats in the Riviera Maya, Mexico, transportation to and from Cancun International Airport is included in the retreat package on set times, on the day the retreat starts leaving the airport between 2-6pm, and on the day the retreat ends leaving the villa between 10am - 1pm. If you decide to arrive one or two days early or leave one or two days late, airport transportation will not be included but Copal Retreat will help you arrange airport pick up.

What is the difference between single and double occupancy?Single occupancy means one guest in a private room—perfect if you’d like your own space. Double occupancy is the per-person rate for two guests sharing a room. Please note that double occupancy is only available for guests booking together (friends, family, or couples), as we usually do not pair individuals who don’t know each other.

What type of cuisine is served at Copal Retreat in Mexico?Our in-house chef delivers three meals a day with an exquisite menu offering deep Mexican roots with contemporary style influences, local and ethical ingredients, and will follow any dietary restrictions you may have.

What type of cuisine can I expect at an Ayurvedic retreat?For this particular retreat, the meals will follow a strict Indian Ayurvedic diet. This means there will be no coffee (unless specifically requested in advance), no raw foods, no animal products, and no processed foods. All meals will be thoughtfully prepared according to Ayurvedic principles to support your wellness journey.

Will I need travel insurance?Travel insurance is highly recommended for all Copal Retreat guests. It offers peace of mind by helping to cover unexpected situations such as delayed, canceled, or missed flights; baggage loss or damage; medical expenses; and more. On average, coverage for a week is around $30–$50 and can usually be arranged with a quick call. If you're looking for a recommendation, we like Blue Cross for their reliable coverage and service. We encourage you to get the most comprehensive plan possible to ensure you're protected throughout your journey.

Think warm sunshine, gentle ocean breezes, and tropical vibes that make it the perfect setting for rest and rejuvenation.

What type of electricity and outlets are used in Mexico?In Mexico, the electrical system is the same as in the U.S. and Canada, with 110 volts and 60 Hz frequency. You can use your standard North American plugs and devices without needing an adapter or converter.
