Damian Krkovic discovered yoga not as a fitness trend, but as a lifeline. After
experiencing a minor stroke at age 21 that left him with neuropathy on the left side of
his body, he turned to yoga when conventional medicine offered few answers. What
began as a personal rehabilitation journey soon deepened into a profound passion—and
ultimately, a vocation.
He began his intensive practice in 2017 while living in China, and went on to complete
his yoga teacher training in Indonesia in 2020. Seeking the roots of the practice, he
traveled to Mysore, India, to train in "Ashtanga-Vinyasa Karma Yoga" as it has been
taught for generations—straight from the source. This system brought him to a new
highpoint of physical fitness and mental wellbeing, and he now teaches it with the same
integrity and devotion with which he learned.
With 6 years of teaching experience and certifications in Ashtanga-Vinyasa. Damian has
led classes, retreats, and hosted wellness experiences across Bali, India, Serbia, and
Croatia. His teaching style is grounded, intentional, and deeply accessible—meeting
students exactly where they are, while gently guiding them toward strength, balance,
and inner clarity.
When he's not on the mat, you can find him playing music—his original education and
vocation during his life in his home country of Serbia. A lifelong student of philosophy,
particularly Daoist thought, he brings a contemplative, harmonious presence to
everything he does, whether leading a sunrise flow by the ocean or sharing a quiet
moment of connection with guests.
