    • Hand wash or machine wash on gentle cycle with cold water
    • Use mild detergent (no bleach)
    • Wash separately for the first few washes
    • Air dry in the shade
    • Do not use hot water or high heat

    To help prevent color bleeding in cotton, manta, or hand-dyed artisanal garments, soak the piece before first use in cold water with 1 cup white vinegar and 1–2 tablespoons of salt for 30–60 minutes. Rinse until the water runs clearer.

    Avoid mixing with other garments initially, as artisanal fabrics often use natural dyes that may release some color during early washes.
